The common misundertanding comes from the fact that unless you are
told so, you won't normally notice it's a versioning scheme based on
year/month releases. People see a 3 digit numer and the first thing it
comes to their mind is the classic 1.0, 1.1 versioning numbering.
Using 2006 or similar for the year would make it easy to understand
it. How about 2006.A & 2006.O ?
