Derek,
It is pretty naive of you to claim that you "see no sign that _anybody_
is suffering BSODs on XP Pro", especially considering several people on
this list have already given you examples it happening. In my case I
look after thousands of XP Pro computers and see it on a daily basis,
you have just chosen to disregard each person who mentions it.
Your claim is so ludicrous that it could be easily ripped right out of a
Microsoft marketing textbook. Windows XP Pro, especially with SP2,
crashes just as much as NT ever has. I would be happy to eat my own
words if you provide me with proof to the contrary (I know this won't
happen as I have seen it for my own eyes).
Now despite what some might think I'm in no way claiming that any OS is
without its faults. I've seen Linux, Solaris and plenty of other
operating systems crash and have problems too. What I am saying is
please don't fill my inbox with Microsoft marketing-style dribble, if I
want that I'll visit microsoft.com.
