I'm not going to reply to these suggestions (or those of Dennis) in
detail, because laying out a website is a long process where you have to
consider a range of factors and many people's views. The look and
navigation have to be right and it must work for a range of different
users. I'd rather we start forming the layout together and see how it
works, than discuss it at length on the list.

But in short, I agree that it needs freshening up. After we recently
moved it to a moin based system we now have a lot more flexibility in
the layout and structure than before so there is every opportunity to
make improvements. I think the main section pages need to be cleaner,
with less text and possibly some graphics.

I've cleaned up the Website page in the wiki:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Website where we can post different suggestions
and actually start to implement some of the page structures we are
talking about

I've pasted in the two sections that need the most immediate attention
as sub-pages:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Website/CommunitySection
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Website/SupportSection
