I'm not sure whether that's supposed to apply to the documentation reader or
writer, but I really think you shouldn't, in either case.  Though my wife
(unfairly :-)) accuses me of being a literalist, she really can't handle a
metaphorical manual.  Some people have to have literal instructions.
