Using "Open with..."

Hello,
I'm creating a deb package for Ubuntu.  I want my package to be able to
associate itself with the applications/x-nes-rom MIME type, so when you
click on a NES ROM in nautilus, my application will be started.  I've
noticed that other programs do this (audacity, beep media player,
totem), but I'm not sure how it is done.  Could someone give me an
assist with this?  Thanks :)
