Interesting "review", a good part of it reads more like a guide to Ubuntu then anything else (and in places its clearly wrong). When enabling the extra repositories he didn't mention multiverse, but then complained about the lack of packages available. The reviewer also doesn't understand how sudo works and simply applied the age old root/non-privileged user account mentality instead.

The reviewers so called "serious" ATI drivers bug can be fixed by simply reading the on-board documentation, there is several easy steps to enabling the correct 3D drivers without having to find them with 'apt-cache search' and then have a whinge about it. How often do people run glxgears apart from when testing if their 3D drivers are working anyway? It crashed, therefore fix = install correct driver, simple.
