Cool. I'm wrapping up my time focused on Launchpad now, and my next goal
is to ramp up the community structures that I think you are also
interested in. Let's collaborate on that.

My plan is to create a network of structures. The LoCo teams are one
part of that. We also need to address conferences and events,
specifically, supporting community members that attend or present or
have a presence at such events. We have an initial plan to do
"conference packs", for example.

We need to help these diverse groupings to become effective. We need to
give them materials, and the framework to translate and re-publish those
materials. Also, guidance on some of the softer issues, like building
good relationships with the media. We can create some linkages between
grassroots efforts, and the formal Ubuntu partnership programs, so that
these community structures can work effectively with companies and
individuals who make a living in part thanks to Ubuntu.

We need to create governance policies and guidelines, so that the energy
of the community does not get spent on disagreement rather than
constructive collaboration.

In due course, I imagine we will have a full time person funded whos job
is solely to support that network of community structures.

Tracey, if you would like to start drafting ideas around this, create a
starting point page in the wiki, and then grow it from there. Cc me on
new documents being added to that collection.
