Mono has been available in Ubuntu since Warty, see
http://packages.ubuntu.com for all your package searching needs.

All the apps seen on the livecd are available right now on the rocking
Hoary desktop, some with slightly older but still very cool versions.
Consider the updated Mono stack on the CD a nice preview of our upcoming
Breezy Badger release.
