Yeah, typical Linux zealot!
And why doesn't Linux come with a "Start" button that you click when you
want to "stop"?
To fully reproduce the behaviour of windows, I always configure Linux to
boot into runlevel 6, too - just a hint for those Windows refugees who
might not feel at home...
