Ubuntu in the news

but the time spent on Ubuntu is not totally wasted from a Debian point
of view. This blog entry from yesterday is interesting:

Essentially it seems Sebastien Bacher  (apparently an "upload addict")
was able to start getting Gnome 2.10 into Debian experimental the day
after Hoary's release.  I would guess that his work on Ubuntu was
nearly directly applicable to Debian in this case. I don't know what
would have happened to this story if Ubuntu didn't existed,  but from
my totally outsider point of view, it would appear both projects feed
on each others at different technical levels in a very positive way.
