Not sure if we can do anything about this; it does try.  I assume that
eject(1) doesn't work after installation either?  Is the hardware capable of
ejecting the CD?

This was discussed; I agree it would be nice for any custom options to be
passed on to the installed system, especially useful where they are
necessary to boot successfully (e.g. to work around buggy BIOSes).

Colin, is this a Hoary item?

I've added this to the list of potential features for Hoary; it's something
we should look into.
