FWIW the OS/2 guideline is busiest partition on least busy drive. Linux
puts it on the least-used partition.
In OS/2 circles, the point when raised usually got some argument, but
with a few understanding the matter those who don't understand it think
about it instead of blindly arguing against it.
I'd be content if the default is no swap partition, and at some point a
swap file automatically appears.
