cdrom don't work

With old kernels (warty release 7) i'd no problems.
Today i have 2.6.8-1-k7 and my DVD+/Cdrom (writer) don't work.
I'v this on /var/log/message :

Sep  6 20:29:38 localhost kernel: ide-cd: cmd 0x1e timed out
Sep  6 20:29:38 localhost kernel: hdc: lost interrupt
Sep  6 20:29:38 localhost kernel: hdc: cdrom_pc_intr: The drive appears
confused (ireason = 0x01)

I think it's a kernel bug, i think it's a problem with the module for
ide. (my chipset is a via)

I don't know what to do.
Am I alone with this bug ?
