I'm running 2.6.8.1. Seems to work fine for me. A couple notes:

1. The first time I tried to load the ipw2200 module, I got a gripe about
no firmware. I downloaded the firmware and put it in the hotplug directory
(next to the ubuntu firmware), and the device came right up.

2. sonypi: no joy here. I'm able to insert the module, but I have to
mknod by hand. Once I do that, spicctrl gripes that everything I
do is an invalid ioctl. Luckily though, if I set the backlight in
windows, the setting "sticks" and I can get along fine.

Thanks for the good work!
