Currently, samba is installed with the default desktop packages.  However,
the security policy for desktop is such that it should not have open ports
on external interfaces by default.

We have at least the following options:

- Don't include samba in the desktop install

- Modify samba to offer a "don't run" option via debconf and make that the
  default, allowing it to be enabled with dpkg-reconfigure
