You're probally right on postfix, I'll check the CD.

Yeah, I think it was the gnome utility that created the printer oddly.
After I created it from the web interface it worked fine.  The web
interface kept on complaining about the printers name being too long
even though it wasn't.  I was creating a "HP Laserjet 4" printer with a
jetdirect card using hpijs.  I'll try again to see if I can recreate the
issue.

Also, the gnome utility didn't have a ubuntu test page, but I've not yet
tried after I did a dist-upgrade.
