Deploy/Run Snap Java/Swing Application

OK, so I asked this over at askubuntu.com

and got nothing.

I have a Java application that I would like to try to package as a snap,
but once I package and install the snap; when I run the application it
immediately returns.

I stripped it all the way down to a 'hello world' Swing window and I get
the same thing. I have added x11 as a plug/interface as I did get errors
about that before I figured out about plugs.

Is there anything else I'm missing? Or is this just not going to work yet?
I'm seriously worried about the ability to find decent documentation about
snap on the Internet.
