This is good timing, because we are currently polishing up the porting
guide for 16.04. Sorry that it's still a bit mystical :)
I think you will need a later kernel, though, because iirc 3.16 is the
oldest we think is easily workable for 16.04. Ideally of course you'd
have 4.4, which is what we are using in the official 16.04 release.
