dependencies based on the architecture simply because the different
arches can have different features and levels of feature implementations
upstream, other small differences can indeed simply be smaller binaries
the compiler manages to create due to CPU features ...

... and then there is grub :) which makes up the largest part of
differences.

there are plans to seed grub in arm as well (arm64 at least) but
currently seeding it breaks the snappy package management on u-boot
based installs, once this is fixed and we seeded grub on all platforms
the numbers will be more similar.
