well, how bad is it to ask a debian/ubuntu *user* who does "configure;
make; make install" from an upstream tarball to change the C code he
tries to install ...
i think thats a similar type of people ... they want to roll a package
for installation but do not necessary need to know the language for
this ... imho our setup and tools should cover them and not cause a lot
of unpleasant extra patching work ...
