      <p>Hello snapcrafters!</p>
      <p>We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.4 of
        snapcraft: <a rel="nofollow"
          href="https://launchpad.net/snapcraft/+milestone/2.4">https:/<wbr>/launchpad.<wbr>net/snapcraft/<wbr>+milestone/<wbr>2.4</a>.</p>
      <p>
        This release includes many improvements and features such as:</p>
      <p>- migration from skills to interfaces.<br>
        - support for parallel builds for plugins that support it<br>
        - support for a daemon's restart condition.<br>
        - A --debug flag to make plugin writing easier</p>
      <p>There have also been many small improvements and polish, worthy
        of mention are:</p>
      <p>- cleaner output, or better said we removed some no value add
        output to your screens.<br>
        - some smarter source management for subdirs.<br>
        - clearer human understandable errors when using improper
        build-packages, catkin-packages or invalid commands for apps</p>
      <p>To consume the latest snapcraft release on Xenial Xerus
        (16.04), we suggest you install the snapcraft package from the
        Ubuntu Archives:</p>
      <p>    sudo apt update<br>
            sudo apt install snapcraft</p>
      <p>If you don't want to consume the examples from the source
        branch you can also install the examples package:</p>
      <p>    sudo apt install snapcraft-examples</p>
      <p>After installing this you can find them in /usr/share/<wbr>doc/snapcraft-<wbr>examples/<wbr>examples.</p>
