Oops, I read too fast. You're getting this upon _install_? That means
you're running a version of Ubuntu Core that's too old. The Snappy
format has moved from meta/package.yaml to meta/snap.yaml, so Snapcraft
is generating the latter. Sounds like you're still running an Ubuntu
Core image expecting the former. Make sure you're running an up-to-date
image out of here: http://people.canonical.com/~mvo/all-snaps/ .
