xdg-open doesn't work only in xubuntu (v2)

do you see:

/snap/core/current/usr/local/bin/xdg-open

on your system ?

you also dont need to ship bash: /snap/core/current/bin/bash ships it
...

looks to me like the inclusion of bash might have broken the default
PATH, the latest snap-confine should actually make sure that
usr/local/bin is in there.
