Anyway, Ubuntu doesn't use root account, but sudo. When you get a
password prompt asking for extra permission from the desktop, you need
to introduce your own password.

If you execute it from the terminal, you need to execute the command
adding 'sudo' before the command itself so you get asked for your
password and get the extra rights.
