Translating strings containing "\r"

I'm trying to translate upstart into English (United Kingdom) using Rosetta.
String 164 in upstart is:
"\rThe system is going down for %s in %d minutes!\r\n%s"
Rosetta displays a special symbol for the "\n", but not for the "\r".
The "\r" is interpreted as a carriage return, and is sent to the browser as one.
I use a greasemonkey script to copy the string to the translation box,
so the carriage return is copied.
When submitting the translation, launchpad gives an Oops! One such
oops is OOPS-260B1440.
