filed as https://launchpad.net/products/rosetta/+bug/67109.

It is a Rosetta bug. Although the Silva pot uses escaped characters to
encode UTF-8 characters, which strictly speaking is OK although not very
normal; Rosetta should be able to parse it in any case.
