Hosting Translated Documentation (was Re: Availability of Debian-Installer templates for Dapper)

Yeah, I've thought about doing this. We could do it. There would be a
few quite major things to sort out: a better server, a translatable
index page, and the relevant content negotiation. All those things are
doable, I would think.

However, there are a couple of disadvantages, in my view. First, the
Ubuntu website itself doesn't do this, so it would be slightly odd for
the help website to do it. Second (related to the first), a great thing
about Ubuntu is the locoteams and their websites, and these often
contain great documentation, translations from the wiki, and it is a big
advantage to have the translated documentation on those sites so that
they are all in one place.

What do people thing about this?
