Errors in file downloaded from Rosetta

Hi all.

The file ooo-help which I've just downloaded from http:// 
librarian.launchpad.net/1839893/eo.po has errors in it, the first ten  
of which are all "End-of-line within string" / "Invalid control  
sequence", and the first is at line 1442, shown below:

A couple of other downloads suggest that the French (completed) and  
German (partially completed) copies of this file also have the same  
errors.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a known bug? Is it worth starting  
to translate this file despite the errors?
