Updation of Localization

Hi all,
  I am new to rosetta and have some questions regarding the working of rosetta.

     There is a lot of translation work going on GNOME CVS ,

 Is the work done here is the duplicate effort as i can see that Gnome
is not officially registed with Rosetta ?

Does rosetta import the Translation done in GNOME CVS in there future release ?
