mysql-8.4 (8.4.3-0ubuntu1) plucky; urgency=medium

  * New upstream major release (LP: #2088091)

  * libmysqlclient21 soname bump to libmysqlclient24
  * Remove mysqlpump, mysql_upgrade, mysql_ssl_rsa_setup, zlib_decompress,
    innodb memcached shared library, keyring_file.so, and mysqlreport
  * Add libmysqlrouter_cluster, libmysqlrouter_http_server,
    libmysqlrouter_mysql, libmysqlrouter_routing_connections,
    and libmysqlrouter_utils shared objects
  * Remove server and router builds for 32-bit systems
  * Move myisam_ftdump and mysqldumpslow from mysql-client-core to
    mysql-server-core as they are server tools
  * Binary package changes:
    - Rename mysql-client-core-8.0 to mysql-client-core
    - Rename mysql-server-core-8.0 to mysql-server-core
    - Combine mysql-client metapackage and mysql-client-8.0 into mysql-client
    - Combine mysql-server metapackage and mysql-server-8.0 into mysql-server
    - Combine mysql-testsuite metapackage and mysql-testsuite-8.0 into
      mysql-testsuite
    - Rename mysql-source-8.0 to mysql-source, and provide mysql-source.tar.gz
    - Update conflicting packages to current mariadb and mysql binaries
  * Packaging updates
    - Remove unneeded patches:
      + mysql-test-run-paths
      + boost-1.76.0-fix_multiprecision_issue_419-ppc64le.patch
      + 64bit_time_everywhere.patch
      + suppress_armhf_test_warning.patch
    - Refresh patches:
      + revert_faster_tls_model.patch
      + fix_grant_user_lock_as_root.patch
      + disable_timestamping_test.patch
    - New patches:
      + allow-32bit-cmake.patch: Remove cmake check that blocks 32 bit builds
      + allow-mysql-m4-without-server.patch: Install mysql.m4 regardless of
        WITHOUT_SERVER flag so 32 bit client can provide it
      + build-libmysqlservices-without-server.patch: Allow mysqlservices
        library to build without building server
    - Update debian compat to 13:
      + Use dh_installsystemd instead of dh_systemd_enable and
        dh_installinit-arch
      + Replace install --fail-missing with dh_missing
    - Update standards version to 4.7.0
    - Clean up broken build time and DEP-8 test lists
      + Reduce skipped tests by skipping tests on specific architectures in
        upstream DEP-8 test
    - Add libfido2-dev build dependency
    - Fail build on test suite error for arm64 instead of i386 and armhf to
      match upstream support
    - Update debian/copyright entries
    - 8.0 to 8.4 naming updates:
      + Update watch file URL
      + Readme.source cleanup
      + Update templates
      + Update translations
