I sponsored a fair fraction of these uploads. I can attest the the circumstances were as
Michael describes. I was well aware of the limitations in the testing that Michael could do
and the risks that any particular patch might be incomplete.
AFAIK no other Kubuntu developer had access to arm hardware and no one else
volunteered to help us out. Because of Michaels's work we have KDE
essentially built on armel. I'm glad he did it. AFAIR there were no
regressions or non-armel build failures or regressions.
