I don't think I've responded to this one yet.

While I've not worked directly with james_w myself (not that I remember,
anyway), I have a clear impression that he is systematic, thorough, and
also very pleasant to work with.

A clear +1 from me. In fact, back when I saw james_w's u-u-c application
I was surprised, becuase I thought he was already a MOTU :)
