I really wouldn't call that pressure, "minor annoyance" maybe ;-)

Where to start... well, I completely support Guillaume's application.

Looking at the bazaar branches you get a pretty good idea of the high quality 
packaging he does. He is very supportive and helps other contributors whenever 
he gets a chance. If he isn't at school you can be pretty sure he will be 
available to do some work, no matter how boring it might be (trust me, I 
distribute a lot of jobs among Kubuntu contributors, they all are very eager 
to get things done). He is one of the few people who don't just use CDBS, but 
actually understand it (I don't have to tell you that he was pretty excited 
about debhelper 7). Last, but not least, he also cares a lot about upstream.

All this would make him a very good addition to the Kubuntu specialised MOTU 
forces and the whole Ubuntu Development team.
