First of all, let me apologise for the long delay in processing your
application. Core-dev applications require more care and warrant more
scrutiny, but since I've never actually ever worked with you, this is
rather difficult.

I for one am not overly concerned about the bug you would have
introduced in solving Stefan's challenge. For one thing, it's likely
that you'd never have touched that bug if you hadn't been challenged
like this, and b) even if you did, it's also likely that you'd have
asked someone for advice before uploading; something you can't really do
if you're being challenged (you can't ask your teacher or discuss
questions with your peers during exams in school either, for instance).

I'm impressed with your commitment and your technical skills also seem
unquestionable. Hence, I'm pleased to give you my +1 along with yet
another apology for the ridiculously long processing time.
