I've been one of Onkar's sponsors, mainly for his *-java package
uploads. I can't remember any issues with his debdiffs I sponsored.

Onkar's java packaging skills are very good. He's very keen to keep the
java packages in a good state and build them with openjdk so they can be
moved from multiverse to universe.
Due to his work some java packages around jbossas4 could finally got
build (jbossas4 has some nasty cyclic build-dependencies; I still wonder
how the Debian maintainer got it build).

I recently already asked him for some input while I was resolving a
FTBFS in a java related package as he knows the current java best
practices much better than me.

To summarize it: +1 from me, based on my expierence with his work and
the feedback from his sponsors.
