I'm sure you know the critism that Ubuntu is outdated.
Pretty often Ubuntu is outdated because a new upstream version appears after
DIF and maybe later before we release Ubuntu another upstream release may appear so
I totally understand users that complain about old software.
As we have DIF just 2 months after release we are really very focused on stabilizing.
I'm of the opinion that we can easily sync *everything* at least one month after DIF.
And this is something I personally did the last 2 cycles because we still have enough time
to fix potencial issues and of course I want to make ubuntu users happy if possible.
To answer your question:
Of course the nearer FF comes the more we (including me) are focused
on sync/merge bugfixes or new upstream versions that bring valuable
improvements
so I'll try to check if we benefit from bugfixes or new features
compared to possible
new bugs.
