Confirming. I reviewed these patches, discussed them with Adnrea, and
he came back with fixed patches quickly. Subsequently I merged them to
trunk and uploaded. Thanks again, Andrea!

I also know Andrea from occasional IRC discussions.

However, these are my only Ubuntu related experiences with Andrea so
far, so I'm afraid I cannot say much else.
