Contributions to Ubuntu Development

Marco,
    Two recent bugs opened by you have been brought to my attention
(1, 2).  As much as these are helpful to the preparation of intrepid,
I would like to remind you of the previous MOTU Council statement (3)
asking you to refrain from contributions to Ubuntu Development.  While
this prohibition stands, please do not file such bugs.

    As indicated in the statement from the MOTU Council, there exists
a process by which this prohibition may be lifted.  If you believe
that the prohibition is no longer required, please arrange for a
current MOTU to propose the removal of the prohibition to the MOTU
Council mailing list.  Such an application is likely to require
support from several MOTU, and involve several questions about
workflow and processes.
