I would just add that, despite having done my best to avoid it, I've had 
several technically negative contacts  with Marco during the period.  Just 
yesterday I was invovled in a discussion of a sync that FTBFS that he had 
requested, but not tested "Because the Debian Maintainer told him it would be 
fine."  A significant fraction (I didn't keep statistics) of the problematic 
interactions have been in cases where, as I understand it, he had not checked 
with norsetto or dholbach first as he had been instructed to do.
