The problem IMHO in general is, that we have too many teams, with too many people
interested only in their parts.

MOTU is the only team, which is a multipurpose team, means dealing with any package, without
regarding the functionality, while people who are working in -server, -mozilla, -desktop, -mobile etc.

People who are only working in those specialised teams are not known to the more general focused motu people.
This is sad, but we should take care, that not all people applying for motuship are only doing their
liked package work, they should take part in the general team of the motus and doing also the
non loved work like merge/sync, working on other packages then they know about etc.

The problem I see since a couple of months is, that the motus (the general team) goes blind,
because someone from other teams is pushing changes to packages, and for the next cycle those people are
gone or not interested anymore...

we should avoid this situation, and people who are willing to care about ubuntu as whole, should work with the motu team
and at the same time with a more specialized team. This means, that people from the general motu
team know the applicant and this applicant will get more voices towards his work and not only from their
specialized team mates.

I know, some people are more equal then other people, but that's life...and don't be afraid to speak up and asking not
liked questions.

But yes, I agree with soren, the location of the package (universe or main or whatever) doesn't play any role.
