MOTU Application for kirkland [Was Re: Universe Contributors application for Dustin Kirkland (kirkland)]

As pointed out by persia on IRC, I used the term "Universe Contributors"
when I intended to apply for MOTU.

I read a few of the recent threads in the archive on this list, and I
saw a significant number of applications for "Universe Contributor", and
I became confused by the terminology. I thought perhaps "Universe
Contributor" was a colloquial term used in place of "MOTU" on the
mailing list, "motu-council".

Sorry about the confusion. My application follows.
