Hello,

My name is Steve. I have would like to be considered for the new
Contributing Developer team.

you can see my foo @ https://edge.launchpad.net/~vorian/+packages

As for packages I am fond of, I'll start with chm2pdf.
https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chm2pdf
This was my first package accepted into Ubuntu. I learned quite a bit about
packaging with python apps. I was contacted a month ago by a DD, who asked
if I would consider maintaining the package in Debian. So I went through
the process, and chm2pdf was just recently accepted into Sid.

Another package I have done quite a bit of work with is ktorrent-kde4.
https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ktorrent-kde4
This was one of the first kde4 packages I did. I have been working closely
with John Dong on each revision and upstream release.

I really like kdiamond-kde4, it's very addictive
https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdiamond-kde4
This was my first FeatureFreeze exception package. I learned a lot from the
FFe process.

I am also proud of keruocalc-kde4.
https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keurocalc-kde4
It's the first multi-binary package I made from scratch

I could list many more packages, I am always proud when things I work on get
accepted. I am currently working on several Science related packages (the
Fenics Project: http://fenics.org/wiki/FEniCS_Project) I am currently in
contact with the upstream authors on including copyrights and other odds and
ins getting ready for Intrepid :) I have several ITP's in launchpad, and
the Fenics project is very neat!

I don't want to understate how important my sponsors have been. Without
their help, I would not been able to do the work shown here.

Thanks for your consideration.
Steve
