A big plus 1 from me.  

His work is consistently very good.  He asks questions when he has them.  He fixes his 
mistakes.  He is a positive, active member of the community.

I definitely trust him to have upload rights.

P.S.  As an added bonus he's older than me so I wouldn't have to be (AFAIK) the oldest active 
MOTU any longer.
