I think I need some time to feel confident with Debian BTS (to use it as
much as LP), to deal with other packages (as I have been doing in
Ubuntu), to understand/experience Debian-specific processes such as
{bin,}NMU. Moreover, my packages haven't entered testing yet, so I think
it would be wiser to wait (so yes, it is planned).

Universe contributors could be mailed when they got a new package
accepted, and asked if they want to maintain it in debian as well. If
they are willing to, they could be helped to fix little differences
between debian and ubuntu (checking licenses issues for example, making
packages binNMU-safe), and then ask a debian developer from Utnubu to
sponsor it (since some packagers don't manage to find a sponsor, even on
debian-mentors).
When the CodeReviewSLA isn't blocked anymore, people would be able to
set up another branch to handle more easily debian and ubuntu packaging.

Some times ago, my Debian sponsor asked me to pre-review (and report to
him) an ubuntu package to prepare it for Debian inclusion, so if there
is a plan to do it for Utnubu, I am willing to help.

Cheers,
Lionel
