Hello to you, friendly beings of a conciliary nature and description!

Please consider this my application for Ubuntu core-dev.

I have put some information about my Free Software involvement in
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SteveLangasek>.

My sponsors have included Daniel Holbach, Sebastien Bacher, Søren Hansen,
Kees Cook, and LaMont Jones, all of whom love me and will surely speak
favorably on my behalf.

My involvement in Ubuntu includes work on improving various server-oriented
and core packages such as Samba, PAM, and OpenLDAP. This release cycle I
will also be working on specs such as
<https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/grub-configuration-improvements>
and <https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/ubuntu-firewall>.

I will also use core-dev access to swiftly quash any surprise
release-critical bugs that rudely evade our QA processes until the last
minute, in order to keep Ubuntu releases smoothly on schedule.

If you have any questions for me, please ask.
