Please try to keep merge proposals under a couple thousand lines in 
size. Obviously it's not always possible, but I'm not convinced we're 
trying our best to achieve it.

One thing I've noticed with Mir regressions is that often they come from 
large changes of 1000 lines or more. And when that happens it becomes 
difficult to bisect and resolve the bug. It also makes rolling back such 
a change often impossible because the size creates conflicts if rolled back.
