Hello everybody,
while Alan and I were chatting with the upstream developer of trojitá
(our soon-to-be email app on the phone), he mentioned the following set
of bugs:
* https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68056
* https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-9978
* https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-32760
and mentioned the following:
<jkt> dholbach: tag 0.4.1 is OK, 0.4.0 doesn't contain that fix,
unfortunately that's about libxkbcommon bringing problems
on the desktop
<jkt> dholbach: you might want to ask the Qt guys about that
library; my impression is that given it's a pretty new stuff
and AFAIK nobody but Qt5 uses it, the old releases might be
rather buggy
We are currently at libxkcommon 0.3.1, Debian has 0.4.0. Timo Aaltonen
in #ubuntu-x was very helpful, did a test-build of 0.4.1, pushed it to
Debian git and to https://launchpad.net/~tjaalton/+archive/test
As Mir depends on it, and it'd require an archive admin review (new
binary package) and a FFe, it'd probably be good if the Mir developers
could take a quick look at it and see if it's all right.
Thanks a lot everyone in advance.
Have a great day,
Daniel
