<div dir="ltr">Have curtin optionally wipe additional disks to model how VMs and clouds work (ephemeral disks are wiped after machine is terminated).<div><br></div><div>We've encountered charm bugs (openstack storage charms) related to how they handle disks with previous data on them, and the charms should handle this, but it would be nice to have MaaS/curtin wipe drives to provide a pristine machine each time it's allocated.</div>

After some fun using curtin and trying to change the disk/partition layout I thought it'd be a good idea to send some wish list features.<br>

High Priority:<br>
The ability to set custom partition tables,sizes,filesystem types.<br>
 - chose between mbr/gpt/uefi<br>
 - don't assume any filesystem size/types require users to provide root fs size and type<br>
Swap should probably be a default partition created<br>

Medium Prior<br>
LVM support<br>
Some ability to handle/manage existing partitions/lvms<br>
  - i'd like to be able to re-install the OS but maintain my data so id like to inspect the existing partition/volumes and choose which partitions to format or reuse/mount<br>

MD support<br>

If I can think of some more I'll reply back, but so far these would be awesome additions.<br>
