Testing

MAAS 2.2 Beta 4 introduces environment tests to allow the administrator to
verify that their environment is setup correctly:

   -

Internet Connectivity test, ensures machines can connect to the Internet.

   -

NTP connectivity, ensures that machines can connect to the configured
NTP server, whether this is MAAS or an external NTP server.

Intel RSD improvements

MAAS 2.2b4 introduces further improvements to Intel RSD usage in MAAS:

   -

   Pod details page

A pod details page has been improved by:

   -

Ability to show the composed machines (those that belong to the specific
   pod from its details page).
   -

Add the ability to show and change the power management or pod
   management credentials and endpoints.

   -

   Constraints

Ability to specify constraints to request machines based on the Pod (by
type or name), providing the ability to select from a set of pods or an
specific pod.

UX Improvements

Several UI improvements have been made:

   -

   Design Change - Tabs

Following the UX improvements from our design team, the 2.2b4 UI has now
improved navigation. This includes a new Tab based approach for second
level navigation items (for example, machines, devices and controllers
under the Nodes tag).

   -

   Better error surfacing

Add error surfacing when editing node interfaces (including both Machine
and devices interfaces).

Windows deployments

Improve the ability to configure storage configuration for Windows. This
includes the ability to select the root device where windows should be
installed on.

Note that this ability extends to all DD images that MAAS can deploy.

Package Repositories

MAAS 2.2 Beta 4 improves its package repositories support for Ubuntu
Mirrors adding the ability to disable components. This components are
Universe, Multiverse and Restricted.
