Are all your interfaces in a given node as Unconfigured? Can you share how
your interface configuration looks like?
That said, If your interface is unconfigured it means you have brought the
interface up manually and have it DHCP.
Did this interface DHCP from MAAS's DHCP or did it do from an external DHCP
server?

You could potentially add the dns entry yourself via the API, but that
doesn't change the fact that you have an unconfigured interface in MAAS,
which is likely why the DNS entry was not added.
